Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA), which rose 2.34% or 0.0670 points to trade at 2.9270 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LISBON:GALP) added 2.19% or 0.2550 points to end at 11.8800 and J. Martins SGPS (LISBON:JMT) was up 2.07% or 0.2675 points to 13.2175 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REN (LISBON:RENE), which lost 6.90% or 0.2000 points to trade at 2.6990 in late trade. Impresa SGPS (LISBON:IMPA) declined 1.70% or 0.01 points to end at 0.86 and Portugal Telecom (LISBON:PTC) shed 1.58% or 0.0085 points to 0.5295.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 35 to 33 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.68% or 0.45 to $65.71 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.37% or 0.22 to hit $59.17 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.61% or 7.30 to trade at $1181.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.46% to 1.1150, while EUR/GBP fell 1.31% to 0.7157.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 95.14.
