Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which rose 3.21% or 0.94 points to trade at 30.25 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 0.84% or 0.31 points to end at 37.03 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was up 0.80% or 0.33 points to 41.38 in late trade.
Biggest losers included YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which lost 1.74% or 0.12 points to trade at 6.49 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 0.93% or 0.0500 points to end at 5.3150 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) shed 0.74% or 0.10 points to 13.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 108 to 71 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.22% or 0.10 to $45.85 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.27% or 0.12 to hit $43.98 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.05% or 0.65 to trade at $1318.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1168, while EUR/GBP rose 0.27% to 0.8601.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 95.90.
