On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Natural gas futures for September delivery traded at USD3.998 per million British thermal units at time of writing rising 0.82%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD4.019 per million British thermal units. Natural gas was likely to find support at USD3.858 and resistance at USD4.019.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.11% to trade at USD81.60.
Elsewhere on the Nymex, Crude oil for September delivery fell 1.07% to trade at USD97.03 a barrel while Heating oil for September delivery fell 1.49% to trade at USD2.8363 per gallon.
