Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Commercial Service And Supplies, Energy and Media sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which rose 6.03% or 0.10 points to trade at 1.81 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) added 4.97% or 1.44 points to end at 30.39 and Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG) was up 1.77% or 1.05 points to 60.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL), which lost 7.80% or 7.1 points to trade at 84.0 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) declined 4.47% or 1.99 points to end at 42.50 and Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) shed 4.03% or 0.5 points to 12.8.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 100 to 78 and 5 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.25% or 0.15 to $60.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.24% or 0.15 to hit $64.03 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.89% or 22.20 to trade at $1199.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 1.89% to 8.8450, while USD/NOK rose 1.30% to 7.7576.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.47% at 94.03.
