Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Diversified Financials and Energy sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.58% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 9.26% or 1.8 points to trade at 21.7 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 5.39% or 1.18 points to end at 23.06 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 2.27% or 0.88 points to 39.57 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which lost 1.71% or 0.47 points to trade at 26.99 in late trade. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) declined 0.78% or 0.8 points to end at 102.1 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) shed 0.65% or 2.30 points to 353.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 102 to 72 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.82% or 0.88 to $47.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.12% or 0.55 to hit $48.35 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.10% or 1.20 to trade at $1211.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.18% to 9.0656, while USD/NOK fell 0.12% to 8.5353.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 101.10.
