On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Natural gas futures for January delivery traded at USD4.369 per million British thermal units at time of writing rising 1.50%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD4.378 per million British thermal units. Natural gas was likely to find support at USD4.176 and resistance at USD4.689.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.25% to trade at USD87.97.
Elsewhere on the Nymex, Crude oil for January delivery fell 1.36% to trade at USD74.75 a barrel while Heating oil for January delivery fell 0.70% to trade at USD2.3502 per gallon.
