Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Industrials and Consumer Goods & Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which rose 3.06% or 0.890 points to trade at 29.860 at the close. Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB) added 1.85% or 0.620 points to end at 34.150 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) was up 1.67% or 0.50 points to 30.47 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which lost 4.50% or 0.850 points to trade at 18.080 in late trade. Grupo Financiero Banorte (MX:GFNORTEO) declined 2.86% or 2.580 points to end at 87.520 and Empresas ICA, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA) shed 2.71% or 0.350 points to 12.510.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 85 to 44 and 6 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was up 1.21% or 14.40 to $1208.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.70% or 0.86 to hit $51.66 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 2.36% or 1.33 to trade at $57.91 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.89% to 15.2230, while EUR/MXN rose 0.29% to 16.1316.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 99.67.
