Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Energy, Utilities and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo), which rose 7.40% or 50.0 points to trade at 726.0 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) added 3.86% or 13.1 points to end at 352.4 and Aker Solutions OL (OSLO:AKSOL) was up 2.10% or 0.67 points to 32.54 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE), which lost 8.16% or 3.4 points to trade at 38.0 in late trade. DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) declined 7.66% or 0.63 points to end at 7.59 and Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) shed 5.74% or 4.5 points to 73.8.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 104 to 74 and 6 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.81% or 0.88 to $47.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.36% or 0.72 to hit $52.59 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.62% or 6.80 to trade at $1095.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.47% to 8.9792, while USD/NOK fell 0.38% to 8.1432.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.61% at 97.02.
