On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for December delivery traded at USD1295.90 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.08%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1295.70 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1293.20 and resistance at USD1314.60.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.03% to trade at USD81.48.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for September delivery fell 0.18% to trade at USD20.635 a troy ounce while Copper for September delivery fell 0.31% to trade at USD3.233 a pound.
