Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Insurance, Diversified Financials and Auto & components sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC), which rose 2.50% or 7.5 points to trade at 307.5 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OSLO:MHG) added 2.16% or 1.90 points to end at 89.75 and Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) was up 2.05% or 0.03 points to 1.69 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL), which lost 6.53% or 6.7 points to trade at 95.2 in late trade. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) declined 3.22% or 1.09 points to end at 32.81 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) shed 3.06% or 1.9 points to 60.1.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 102 to 77 and 7 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.97% or 0.56 to $56.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $62.08 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.08% or 0.90 to trade at $1187.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 1.14% to 8.5678, while USD/NOK rose 1.15% to 7.8575.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 97.45.
