Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Biomed, Communication and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which rose 4.47% or 68 points to trade at 1590 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) added 3.64% or 2450 points to end at 69720 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was up 2.77% or 96 points to 3566 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nice Ltd (TA:NICE), which lost 1.05% or 270 points to trade at 25460 in late trade. Melisron (TA:MLSR) declined 0.98% or 160 points to end at 16200 and Poalim (TA:POLI) shed 0.98% or 20 points to 2015.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 183 to 159 and 103 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.30% or 0.61 to $46.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.60% or 0.79 to hit $48.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.42% or 5.55 to trade at $1321.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.04% to 3.7906, while EUR/ILS fell 0.27% to 4.2274.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.44% at 95.95.
