Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 2.06% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which fell 0.23% or 0.11 points to trade at 47.16 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) fell 0.28% or 0.7 points to end at 252.2 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was down 0.63% or 1.0 points to 157.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs), which lost 3.30% or 7.5 points to trade at 220.1 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 3.08% or 0.93 points to end at 29.27 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) shed 2.99% or 3.9 points to 126.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 400 to 152 and 39 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.11% or 0.04 to $35.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.08% or 0.03 to hit $37.72 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.93% or 11.30 to trade at $1230.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.03% to 9.2638, while USD/SEK rose 0.02% to 8.1328.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 94.59.
