Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Sekerbank (IS:SKBNK), which rose 9.22% or 0.130 points to trade at 1.540 at the close. Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) added 4.17% or 0.010 points to end at 0.240 and Alarko Holding (IS:ALARK) was up 3.70% or 0.12 points to 3.36 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL), which lost 3.13% or 0.75 points to trade at 23.20 in late trade. Aksa (IS:AKSA) declined 2.25% or 0.22 points to end at 9.54 and Soda Sanayii (IS:SODA) shed 2.07% or 0.100 points to 4.720.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 227 to 168 and 15 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 2.25% or 25.10 to $1138.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.32% or 0.59 to hit $44.15 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.31% or 0.62 to trade at $47.06 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.11% to 2.9925, while EUR/TRY fell 0.41% to 3.3773.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.79% at 95.58.
