Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Retail and Telecoms & IT sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.51% to hit a new 3-year low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Herfy Food Services Co (SE:6002), which rose 7.26% or 6.50 points to trade at 96.00 at the close. The Company for Coop. Insurance (SE:8010) added 5.34% or 3.50 points to end at 69.00 and Aljazira Takaful Taawuni Company (SE:8012) was up 5.33% or 1.60 points to 31.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180), which lost 11.15% or 3.40 points to trade at 27.10 in late trade. Solidarity Saudi Takaful Co (SE:8290) declined 10.71% or 0.90 points to end at 7.50 and Anaam International Holding Group (SE:4061) shed 9.20% or 1.60 points to 15.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 123 to 43 on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.51% or 0.77 to $31.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.95% or 0.60 to hit $31.55 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.35% or 3.80 to trade at $1081.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.31% to 4.0602, while USD/SAR rose 0.10% to 3.7550.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.29% at 99.31.
