Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Personal & Household Goods, Consumer Goods and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA), which rose 4.29% or 3.05 points to trade at 74.15 at the close. Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) added 3.59% or 29.0 points to end at 837.5 and Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) was up 3.00% or 17.0 points to 584.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tryg A/S (CO:TRYG), which lost 0.91% or 1.2 points to trade at 131.2 in late trade. FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) declined 0.56% or 1.3 points to end at 231.8 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) shed 0.42% or 1.7 points to 406.1.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 102 to 59 and 3 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.88% or 1.41 to $37.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 3.62% or 1.38 to hit $39.54 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.14% or 1.50 to trade at $1064.90 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.76% to 6.8391, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4627.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.56% at 98.29.
