Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Public Services, Investment and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 2.73% or 50.0 points to trade at 1880.0 at the close. Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) added 1.74% or 130.0 points to end at 7580.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 1.59% or 400.0 points to 25600.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Isagen SA (CN:ISG), which lost 3.23% or 100.0 points to trade at 3000.0 in late trade. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) declined 2.72% or 500.0 points to end at 17900.0 and Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) shed 2.63% or 190.0 points to 7040.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 11 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.15% or 0.20 to $134.22 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.06% or 2.00 to hit $3103.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 1.88% or 21.90 to trade at $1187.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.50% to 2927.00, while BRL/COP rose 2.50% to 766.57.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.88% at 93.97.
