Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Tourism and Leasing & Factoring sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE), which rose 6.38% or 0.120 points to trade at 2.000 at the close. Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) added 6.37% or 0.130 points to end at 2.170 and Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) was up 3.95% or 0.85 points to 22.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which lost 4.17% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.230 in late trade. Gubre Fabrik. (IS:GUBRF) declined 2.79% or 0.19 points to end at 6.61 and Yazicilar Holding (IS:YAZIC) shed 2.65% or 0.45 points to 16.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 224 to 172 and 15 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 1.79% or 20.00 to $1137.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.41% or 1.60 to hit $45.30 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.09% or 1.02 to trade at $48.05 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.37% to 3.0000, while EUR/TRY fell 0.98% to 3.4093.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.31% at 94.92.
