Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, European stock bourses closed higher. France’s CAC 40 was up 0.06%; Germany’s DAX gained 0.49%; Britain’s FTSE 100 climbed 0.43%; and the EURO STOXX 50 rose 0.11%.
