Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DnB ASA (OSLO:DNB), which rose 3.80% or 5.2 points to trade at 142.2 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) added 3.27% or 9.7 points to end at 306.7 and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) was up 3.27% or 18.5 points to 584.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL), which lost 6.05% or 5.8 points to trade at 90.0 in late trade. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) declined 5.35% or 3.7 points to end at 65.4 and Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA) shed 3.90% or 2.90 points to 71.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 88 to 82 and 5 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.85% or 0.49 to $57.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.28% or 0.81 to hit $62.63 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.39% or 4.60 to trade at $1198.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.32% to 8.4351, while USD/NOK fell 0.43% to 7.8476.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 98.08.
