Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper, Pharmaceutical Industry and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Micro Data SA (CS:MIC), which rose 9.65% or 19.25 points to trade at 218.80 at the close. Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) added 5.98% or 78 points to end at 1383 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) was up 5.08% or 2.49 points to 51.49 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU), which lost 2.69% or 3.90 points to trade at 141.10 in late trade. BMCI (CS:BMCI) declined 2.28% or 14 points to end at 601 and Atlanta (CS:ATL) shed 2.02% or 1.04 points to 50.36.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 13 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $48.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.21% or 0.11 to hit $51.48 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.15 to trade at $1203.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.01% to 10.7200, while USD/MAD rose 0.06% to 10.0532.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 101.19.
