Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Multi Investment and Petrochemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310), which rose 8.75% or 0.70 points to trade at 8.70 at the close. Knowledge Economic City (SE:4310) added 4.66% or 0.90 points to end at 20.20 and Gulf Union Cooperative Insurance (SE:8120) was up 4.66% or 0.55 points to 12.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudi Industrial Development Co. (SE:2130), which lost 4.88% or 0.50 points to trade at 9.75 in late trade. ALABDULLATIF CO. (SE:2340) declined 3.54% or 0.55 points to end at 15.00 and Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) shed 3.21% or 1.60 points to 48.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 90 to 64 and 17 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.53% or 0.80 to $53.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.67% or 0.92 to hit $56.02 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.66% or 7.90 to trade at $1204.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.91% to 4.0051, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7506.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.93% at 100.75.
