Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.81% or 0.3250 points to trade at 8.8600 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 1.66% or 0.13 points to end at 7.97 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.59% or 0.080 points to 5.105 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which lost 2.39% or 0.66 points to trade at 26.94 in late trade. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) declined 1.28% or 0.55 points to end at 42.50 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 1.18% or 0.054 points to 4.514.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 75 to 64 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 3.11% or 1.67 to $55.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 3.09% or 1.57 to hit $52.39 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.12% or 1.40 to trade at $1184.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.39% to 1.0515, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.8661.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.30% at 102.32.
