Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Retail, Insurance and Agriculture & Food sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (SE:1213), which rose 9.91% or 1.05 points to trade at 11.65 at the close. Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) added 9.54% or 4.55 points to end at 52.25 and BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270) was up 7.94% or 2.00 points to 27.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nama Chemicals Co. (SE:2210), which lost 11.34% or 0.55 points to trade at 4.30 in late trade. Saudi Ground Services Co (SE:4031) declined 3.75% or 2.50 points to end at 64.25 and Mouwasat Medical Services Company (SE:4002) shed 3.40% or 5.00 points to 142.25.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 75 to 69 and 27 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.69% or 0.37 to $53.63 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.74% or 0.42 to hit $56.88 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.62% or 7.20 to trade at $1172.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.08% to 3.9371, while USD/SAR rose 0.03% to 3.7508.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 102.42.
