Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 2.41% or 0.2000 points to trade at 8.5050 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 0.67% or 0.045 points to end at 6.795 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 0.63% or 0.27 points to 42.89 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 1.54% or 0.078 points to trade at 4.992 in late trade. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 1.05% or 0.36 points to end at 33.78 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) shed 0.68% or 0.10 points to 14.57.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 72 to 70 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.44% or 0.25 to $56.60 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.28% or 0.15 to hit $53.62 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.35 to trade at $1155.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.48% to 1.0538, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.8541.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.37% at 102.28.
