Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.55% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 2.67% or 300 points to trade at 11550 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) added 2.63% or 280 points to end at 10920 and Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) was up 2.50% or 6.2 points to 254.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb), which lost 1.41% or 8.5 points to trade at 593.5 in late trade. TDC A/S (CO:TDC) declined 0.17% or 0.06 points to end at 36.00 and Genmab (CO:GEN) shed 0.17% or 2.0 points to 1145.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 77 to 42 and 20 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $51.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.19% or 0.10 to hit $54.00 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 3.08% or 35.90 to trade at $1127.80 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 1.37% to 7.1532, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.4352.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.27% at 103.33.
