Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Food Producers & Processors, Forestry & Paper and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Sonasid (CS:SOND), which rose 9.99% or 29 points to trade at 324 at the close. Involys (CS:INV) added 8.84% or 7.96 points to end at 97.99 and Risma (CS:RIS) was up 6.31% or 6.20 points to 104.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Centrale Danone (CS:CDA), which lost 5.87% or 32 points to trade at 513 in late trade. Cosumar (CS:CSMR) declined 4.91% or 13 points to end at 251 and Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) shed 3.85% or 0.77 points to 19.23.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 20 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.44% or 0.65 to $44.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.27% or 0.59 to hit $45.77 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.84% or 10.75 to trade at $1262.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.18% to 10.7940, while USD/MAD fell 0.05% to 9.9051.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 98.86.
