Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.49% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which rose 2.25% or 260.0 points to trade at 11800.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 1.98% or 200.0 points to end at 10280.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 1.86% or 25.0 points to 1370.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 1.26% or 30.0 points to trade at 2350.0 in late trade. Cemargos (CN:CCB) declined 0.67% or 80.0 points to end at 11800.0 and Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) shed 0.30% or 30.0 points to 9900.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 7 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 0.42% or 0.67 to $157.88 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 1.04% or 28.00 to hit $2722.00 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.56% or 7.10 to trade at $1270.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.33% to 2916.72, while BRL/COP rose 1.00% to 921.12.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 97.91.
