Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.92%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 2.10% or 0.128 points to trade at 6.234 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 0.71% or 0.0850 points to end at 12.0500 and Banco BPI (LS:BBPI) was up 0.54% or 0.0060 points to 1.1160 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which lost 5.66% or 0.0370 points to trade at 0.6170 in late trade. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 2.54% or 0.0009 points to end at 0.0345 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 1.58% or 0.1020 points to 6.3690.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 30 to 16 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.13% or 0.51 to $45.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.02% or 0.45 to hit $44.77 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.94% or 24.65 to trade at $1296.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1423, while EUR/GBP rose 0.39% to 0.7905.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 93.66.
