Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 5.39% or 0.3250 points to trade at 6.3500 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 3.42% or 0.132 points to end at 3.990 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 2.78% or 0.66 points to 24.43 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which lost 1.75% or 0.42 points to trade at 23.61 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 0.29% or 0.10 points to end at 34.36 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) shed 0.06% or 0.002 points to 3.516.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 139 to 44 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.04% or 0.02 to $45.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.52% or 0.23 to hit $44.30 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.86% or 24.25 to trade at $1280.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.96% to 1.1033, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8908.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.94% at 97.85.
