Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Holding Firms and Property sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 0.75%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Phi Long Dis T (PS:TEL), which rose 0.65% or 14.00 points to trade at 2168.00 at the close. Aboitiz Equity (PS:AEV) added 0.26% or 0.150 points to end at 57.700 and Semirara Minin (PS:SCC) was down 0.07% or 0.1000 points to 136.9000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Universal Robi (PS:URC), which lost 3.11% or 6.000 points to trade at 187.100 in late trade. Intl Container (PS:ICT) declined 2.33% or 1.750 points to end at 73.250 and Alliance Globa (PS:AGI) shed 2.23% or 0.400 points to 17.500.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 104 to 69 and 20 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for February delivery was down 0.22% or 2.30 to $1051.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.06% or 0.42 to hit $40.37 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.44% or 0.19 to trade at $42.99 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.14% to 7.3684, while USD/PHP fell 0.17% to 47.133.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 100.29.
