Investing.com - The number of people applying for first-time jobless benefits in the U.S. fell last week, official data showed on Thursday.
In a report, Department of Labor said that U.S. initial jobless claims fell to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 297K, from 314K in the prior week whose figure was revised up from 313K.
Analysts had expected U.S. initial jobless claims to fall to 297K last week.
