Investing.com - Retail sales in the U.K. rose more-than-expected last month, official data showed on Thursday.

In a report, National Statistics said that U.K. retail sales rose to 1.2%, from -0.7% in the prior month whose figure was revised down from -0.5%.

Analysts had expected U.K. retail sales to rise 0.4% last month.
