Investing.com - Retail sales in the U.K. fell unexpectedly last month, official data showed on Thursday.

In a report, National Statistics said that U.K. retail sales fell to -0.2%, from 0.3% in the prior month whose figure was revised up from 0.2%.

Analysts had expected U.K. retail sales to rise 0.3% last month.
