Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.73%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which rose 4.57% or 0.1780 points to trade at 4.0700 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HEL:STERV) added 2.49% or 0.210 points to end at 8.630 and Fortum Oyj (HEL:FUM1V) was up 2.41% or 0.37 points to 15.74 in late trade.
Biggest losers included YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V), which lost 7.21% or 0.47 points to trade at 5.99 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOK1V) declined 1.07% or 0.065 points to end at 5.990 and Tieto Oyj (HEL:TIE1V) shed 0.89% or 0.21 points to 23.29.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 78 and 4 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.35% or 0.18 to $53.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.52% or 0.72 to hit $48.11 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.18% or 2.00 to trade at $1094.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.1051, while EUR/GBP fell 0.68% to 0.7078.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 96.80.
