South African retail sales 2.2% vs. 3.5% forecast

Investing.com - Retail sales in South Africa fell more-than-expected last month, official data showed on Wednesday.

In a report, Statistics South Africa Head Office said that South African Retail Sales fell to 2.2%, from 6.4% in the prior month whose figure was revised down from 6.8%.

Analysts had expected South African Retail Sales to fall to 3.5% last month.
