South African retail sales -0.2% vs. 0.8% forecast

Investing.com - Retail sales in South Africa fell more-than-expected last month, official data showed on Wednesday.

In a report, Statistics South Africa Head Office said that South African Retail Sales fell to -0.2%, from 1.6% in the preceding month whose figure was revised up from 1.4%.

Analysts had expected South African Retail Sales to fall to 0.8% last month.
