Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Energy and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT), which rose 7.14% or 2.50 points to trade at 37.50 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OSLO:SUBC) added 5.24% or 3.6 points to end at 72.2 and Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) was up 1.93% or 1.4 points to 74.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS), which lost 2.24% or 0.3 points to trade at 13.1 in late trade. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) declined 1.29% or 9.0 points to end at 690.0 and Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) shed 1.19% or 0.02 points to 1.66.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 91 to 86 and 5 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.42% or 0.21 to $50.65 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.10% or 0.06 to hit $56.70 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.17% or 1.90 to trade at $1104.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.54% to 8.8690, while USD/NOK fell 1.52% to 8.1130.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.72% at 97.48.
