Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB), which rose 1.45% or 25.0 points to trade at 1750.0 at the close. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) added 0.80% or 120.0 points to end at 15120.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 0.74% or 70.0 points to 9520.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which lost 7.98% or 130.0 points to trade at 1500.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 4.31% or 44.0 points to end at 976.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) shed 3.94% or 220.0 points to 5370.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 15 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.93% or 1.07 to $116.38 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.65% or 47.50 to hit $2827.00 , while the February Gold contract rose 0.92% or 10.10 to trade at $1106.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 2.67% to 3398.50, while BRL/COP rose 3.22% to 830.81.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 99.40.
