Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.72% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 2.32% or 0.94 points to trade at 41.43 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 2.15% or 0.205 points to end at 9.730 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 2.12% or 0.092 points to 4.436 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 1.04% or 0.27 points to trade at 25.79 in late trade. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 0.91% or 0.33 points to end at 35.86 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 0.90% or 0.050 points to 5.475.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 82 to 51 and 23 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.27% or 0.15 to $55.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.40% or 0.21 to hit $53.04 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.65% or 7.60 to trade at $1158.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.12% to 1.0624, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8383.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 101.08.
