Investing.com - Crude oil futures were higher during the Asian session on Thursday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for August delivery traded at USD51.89 a barrel at time of writing rising 0.93%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD52.06 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD50.38 and resistance at USD54.00.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.09% to trade at USD97.38.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for September delivery rose 0.36% to trade at USD57.59 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD5.7 a barrel.
