Investing.com - Core consumer price inflation in the euro zone rose unexpectedly last month, official data showed on Wednesday.

In a report, Eurostat said that Euro zone core CPI rose to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 0.8%, from 0.7% in the prior month.

Analysts had expected Euro zone core CPI to remain unchanged at 0.7% last month.
