Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 3.48% or 1.26 points to trade at 37.43 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 1.76% or 0.45 points to end at 26.02 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.41% or 0.064 points to 4.598 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 2.01% or 0.105 points to trade at 5.110 in late trade. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 1.92% or 0.62 points to end at 31.69 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 1.39% or 0.57 points to 40.53.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 76 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 2.46% or 1.27 to $52.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.98% or 1.50 to hit $51.79 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.63% or 7.90 to trade at $1270.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.0968, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.8935.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.01% at 97.89.
