In a report, Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation said that Canadian housing starts rose to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 202.8K, from 197.0K in the prior month whose figure was revised down from 201.7K.
Analysts had expected Canadian housing starts to fall to 190.0K last month.
