In a report, Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation said that Canadian housing starts rose to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 189.7K, from 151.2K in the prior month whose figure was revised down from 156.3K.
Analysts had expected Canadian housing starts to rise to 175.0K last month.
