Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Energy and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL), which rose 8.76% or 6.7 points to trade at 83.2 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) added 4.52% or 1.85 points to end at 42.72 and Aker Solutions OL (OSLO:AKSOL) was up 4.39% or 1.75 points to 41.65 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norsk Hydro ASA (OSLO:NHY), which lost 2.52% or 0.82 points to trade at 32.00 in late trade. Yara International ASA (OSLO:YAR) declined 2.02% or 8.3 points to end at 403.3 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) shed 1.83% or 0.9 points to 49.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 109 to 67 and 6 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.53% or 0.80 to $53.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.95% or 0.55 to hit $58.70 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1154.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.67% to 8.9455, while USD/NOK rose 0.48% to 8.1242.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 96.83.
