Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Construction & Building Materials and Holding Companies sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which rose 5.81% or 7.10 points to trade at 129.20 at the close. Label Vie (CS:LBV) added 3.50% or 42 points to end at 1242 and CIH (CS:CIH) was up 2.99% or 9.30 points to 319.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX), which lost 5.97% or 10.10 points to trade at 158.90 in late trade. Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) declined 5.97% or 1.72 points to end at 27.08 and Alliances (CS:ADI) shed 5.05% or 4 points to 84.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 10 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.07% or 1.26 to $59.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.59% or 1.67 to hit $62.59 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1202.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.12% to 10.9180, while USD/MAD fell 0.01% to 9.6308.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 94.42.
