Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Software & Computer Services and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which rose 4.07% or 0.5 points to trade at 11.5 at the close. Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) added 3.82% or 1.87 points to end at 50.85 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was up 3.80% or 1.3 points to 35.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC), which lost 1.28% or 0.02 points to trade at 1.84 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 0.68% or 0.2 points to end at 32.4 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) shed 0.33% or 0.11 points to 33.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 137 to 49 and 5 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.81% or 1.03 to $37.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 3.30% or 1.21 to hit $37.83 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1068.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.30% to 9.5159, while USD/NOK fell 0.02% to 8.7003.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 98.18.
