Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Insurance and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Delta Holding S.A (CS:DHO), which rose 5.85% or 1.40 points to trade at 25.30 at the close. Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) added 4.00% or 0.90 points to end at 22.50 and Alliances (CS:ADI) was up 3.53% or 2 points to 44 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jet Contractors (CS:JET), which lost 6.00% or 10.80 points to trade at 169.20 in late trade. M2M Group (CS:M2M) declined 5.99% or 15.50 points to end at 243.15 and Lydec (CS:LYD) shed 4.70% or 20.00 points to 405.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 14 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.84% or 0.77 to $40.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.45% or 0.65 to hit $43.91 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.54% or 16.70 to trade at $1066.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.19% to 10.6690, while USD/MAD rose 0.40% to 10.0423.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.32% at 99.79.
