Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Leasing & Factoring and Sports sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kartonsan (IS:KARTN), which rose 4.47% or 13.00 points to trade at 304.00 at the close. Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) added 4.17% or 0.010 points to end at 0.240 and Good-Year (IS:GOODY) was up 3.62% or 2.85 points to 81.65 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gsd Holding (IS:GSDHO), which lost 8.66% or 0.110 points to trade at 1.160 in late trade. Tekstilbank (IS:TEKST) declined 3.85% or 0.100 points to end at 2.500 and Migros Ticaret (IS:MGROS) shed 3.13% or 0.60 points to 18.55.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 202 to 195 and 12 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 1.56% or 16.90 to $1066.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.77% or 0.74 to hit $41.00 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.38% or 0.61 to trade at $43.95 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.45% to 2.8706, while EUR/TRY fell 0.91% to 3.0542.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.33% at 99.80.
