Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Mining, Banking & Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 13.04% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.130 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) added 11.11% or 0.015 points to end at 0.150 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was up 10.29% or 0.350 points to 3.750 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which lost 9.21% or 0.035 points to trade at 0.345 in late trade. Minera Irl (LM:IRL) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 0.04 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) shed 5.16% or 0.320 points to 5.880.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 13 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.16% or 0.46 to $38.85 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.91% or 0.40 to hit $43.60 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.36% or 15.50 to trade at $1122.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.19% to 3.2885, while EUR/PEN fell 0.57% to 3.7559.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.47% at 95.30.
